The Insurance Association of Cyprus has appointed both C.Y Actuaries and Lux Actuaries to jointly develop a pensions framework to enhance and encourage the occupational pensions offering of life insurance companies in Cyprus.
The framework will be developed under the current “Class 7 legislation” and will be accompanied by a proposal to policymakers in Cyprus for a receptive tax and regulatory environment. This is a critical step in encouraging the development of more efficient second pillar pension provision in Cyprus.
